Dick is an avid backpacker and climber in both Canada and the US. He has been a ski instructor for 8 years teaching people with all types of disabilities. He currently works with patients who have the illness of addiction.

I believe that being in a community of people who believe they can achieve a goal, large or small, is a wonderful gift to experience. For most of my life I have looked forward to participating in an effort like Team Everest '03. To quote Helen Keller: "Life is an adventure or nothing at all."
